SULT is an exciting group of multidisciplinary Kildare artists who have come together in a collective manner to promote their work. Following on from their successful six month pop-up gallery in Market Square, Kildare and an vibrant and successful exhibition in Bord na Móna Headquarters in Newbridge marking the centenary of the withdrawal of the British Army from Ireland in 1922, the group have been invited to collaborate with businessman Frank McMahon in opening a new art gallery on Academy Street in Kildare town.
There are nine members in the collective, Margaret Becker, Pamela de Brí, Sylvia Hemmingway, Liza Kavanagh, Lia Laimbock, Mary McGrath, Ann McKenna, Brian O’Loughlin and Eleanor Swan who employ a variety of media including ceramics, painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography.
